Actor Michael Douglas has surprised everyone once again with an unexpected visit to a Spanish city, which won him over during his road trip. Accompanied by his partner, Catherine Zeta-Jones , and his daughter, Carys, the actor shared his experience on social media in this destination with its urban beach, signature cuisine, and picture-postcard views.
The star of classics like Basic Instinct and Wall Street has taken advantage of his time in Spain to enjoy a leisurely, personal journey. As he posted on his Instagram account , his trip took him from the Sant Joan festivities in Menorca to a town in northern Spain , where he reunited with Zeta-Jones, who is currently working on a new series.

Throughout the videos, the actor introduces himself as "Don Miguel" (his Spanish name) and comments that he is delighted to "spend time with his charming lady and get to know a beautiful city" like San Sebastián . From Mount Urgull, with La Concha beach in the background , Michael Douglas expressed his admiration for the capital of Gipuzkoa. "Beautiful city," he commented, surprised by its urban landscape by the sea: "How many cities do you know that have a beach right in the center?"
During his stay, he also enjoyed dinner with Zeta-Jones at chef Pedro Subijana 's Akelarre restaurant, with privileged views of the Cantabrian Sea . In addition to the tour of the city's iconic landmarks, Douglas and Zeta-Jones stayed at the historic Hotel María Cristina .
The getaway has put San Sebastián back in the international spotlight, outside the context of its popular International Film Festival , and boosted by the presence of a Hollywood figure who wanted to share his experience as a tourist, without artifice or official events , but with a close and personal look.
